These men are not known for their religious inclinations. They’re not known as preachers. But millions of people follow them and support their work.

What does this have to do with believers?

The Bible says that the world in its wisdom knew not God. Another scripture that God takes the wisdom of the world and makes it foolish.

What am I saying?

There is a wisdom that does not glorify God. It’s impressive. It’s alluring. It’s riveting. It’s profound. It’s motivating and can be very exceptional…and worth following and listening to. It’s not evil. It just does not glorify and claim Jesus.

THUS … the Bible warns us that our faith should not stand in the wisdom of man. We must have our anchor our faith not in man’s wisdom but in God’s holy word. Because if what’s shared by Joe Rogan or Tony Robbins or James Donaldson had some Bible and a bit of motivational Jesus in there, and it’s down from a pulpit, many believers would blindly follow them as God’s mouthpieces.

In fact, right now there are many preachers who are not as wise and as talented and as alluring as the aforementioned men, but they use just enough Word to season their personal wisdom and many follow their pernicious ways. They’re not truly out to bring Christ to center. They’re out to use God for their own benefit and popularity and wealth.

They want to be like Joe Rogan. They want to be like Tony Robbins. They want to be like Mr. Beast — but they’re not at their level so they lure simple minded believers (who do not guard their minds by God’s word against these men’s causes) and make merchandise of them. And thousands upon ten thousands of believers gather to hear these men weekly.

The only way you will be safe from such men and even women, is to weigh their messages in light of the declaration of Jesus, the glorification of His Name and the call for holy living to magnify Jesus through their life.

You can’t base it on benevolence. All the aforementioned men are benevolent. You can’t measure it on the crowds that follow. These guys have more followers than these deceivers can dream to have. You can’t base it on their kindness or gentleness. These men are also kind, gentle and friendly (for the most part).

How can you know then? By their fruit.

Are they preaching Jesus as the only way? Are they expressing and harmonizing Scriptures or are they using Scrpitures as bait? Do you feel like you know more about God and the Bible after they preach? Are you trusting Jesus more after their message? Are you wanting more of Jesus or more from Him? Do you know more Bible at the end or do you have more philosophies about life and living?

These men and women cater to the world. They walk stride per stride with the fads and fashions of society. They accept gifts from worldly people whose god is their bellies. They do not lift their voice for the cause of Christ. They are silent where the Bible is loud and loud where the Bible is silent. No one despises them but the righteous. Joe Rogan takes harder lines than they do.

They’d rather fight against what’s written than to struggle with a righteous stance. They say they care for people and they’re right. They care for their feelings without concern for their soul, that is. They even resist the things God teaches through nature to appease those whose minds are confused by their own lusts.

They have a form of Godliness—because they shout hallelujah and preach in churches—but they deny the supremacy of Christ in this world.

Brethren, the world we’re living in is a noisy one. Make sure you are in the Word so you can tune appropriately to God’s wisdom rather than man’s. God’s wisdom’s eternal. Man’s wisdom are temporal. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is not an option. He is THE solution.
